How to connect to WSL via MobaXterm

Let us explore how to use MobaXterm for connecting to WSL (Windows Subsystem Linux). With this, you can get all features of MobaXterm while using WSL, (tabs, copy-paste, logging, etc)

  • Open your MobaXterm
  • Click on Sessions menu (from the top bost menu bar)
  • Click New Session
  • From the Sessions Settings window, click on WSL icon
  • Your WSL window wll open inside MobaXterm now.

Your WSL Ubuntu terminal will open similar to the one shown below, and you can use it like the other bash terminals in MobaXterm, (local or remote server).

To run a command as administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>".
